This guidebook reviews a wide area, starting from Andonno to the nearby valleys, rich in multipitches and crags: Valle Gesso, Po, Tanaro and Stura, reaching a stretch of France which, due to their ororography, should be included in the Italian mountains: Valle Roja and Val Pennavaire, including the stunning limestone walls of Mongioie.
The author, Severino Scassa, has made the history of Italian free-climbing, not only thanks to his exceptional sport-climbing record, but also for having discovered, explored and developed this wonderful stretch of Western Alps.
