Emperor- the Perfetc Penguin is a tribute to - and a celebration of - the emperor, one of the world's most charismatic creatures. The biggest and most photogenic of all 18 penguin species, they never set foot on land and spend their entire lives out on the sea or feeding in the Southern Ocean around Antarctica. During the past 20 years, award-winning photographer Sue Flood has had the good fortune to spend many weeks photographing penguin colonies in places as remote and challenging as the Weddell Sea and the Ross Sea, Antarctica, where she captured her memorable emperor penguin images. Emperor also features some of Sue's most remarkable behind-the-scenes experiences. This makes Emperor - The Perfect Penguin a very human account of a place few people will ever get to see at first hand, as well as a glorious collection of images.
