Third edition – 520 routes!
This is the third edition of the only complete guide to the multi-pitch routes around Arco, a publication which is the result of the deep passion of one of the absolute protagonists of climbing in the Sarca Valley.
Compared with the previous 2007 edition 200 more routes have been added, of every type and difficulty, and almost all great, well worthwhile and highly recommended. In all there are around 520 descriptions! A good number, considering they are routes, on average, between 200 and 300 metres long.
As in the previous two editions the author has contributed his own sketches which have been completely updated, with precise historical and logistical notes as well as a full evaluation of the beauty and difficulty of the itinerary. Finally some protagonists, both past and present, of the Valley have added to the guide by recounting briefly their emotions and adventures experienced on the Sarca walls.
About the Author
Diego Filippi was born in Trento. Mountaineer, academic member of the Italian Alpine Club and Mountain Guide, he’s a fine connoisseur of the Sarca Valley, and he’s deeply in love with its walls. This accurate and detailed guidebook, which is the result of years of research and updates, attests his everlasting passion.
This third edition is an important collection of the mountaineering experiences of an active climber combining both the great “classic” tradition and the newest and most relevant climbing styles.
